Derek Wilcox: Strong(ish) Garagebell Chronicles: RPS Halloween Havoc Bristol VA 10-28-17

It looked like the day was mine for the taking but one of those real tiny variables that are involved with equipped lifting reared it’s ugly head.  Check out the video!

Although I got a squat in I really didn’t have any interest in building a total after missing the record attempts.  I would have if I made the 1102 of course but I just wanted to save myself after the rough miss and avoid the increased chance of injury by pushing through the rest of the meet.  Time to chill out for a little bit then get back to work for a meet in the spring.  Big thanks to my wife for being above and beyond great to me in life and especially on meet days.  She gets more stressed than I do because she cares so much.  My training partners Charlie, Emily B, Kirk, Janean, Brian, Noah, Garrett and the rest that float in and out for always being supportive.

Also had several people from our sport science grad program come out as well 😀
