
31 Oct Ben Sheard Off-Season Week 6
Currently I am in off season mode, and looking forward to a meet at the end of January in New Jersey. My work pace and volume has been increasing at a steady rate, along with my raw strength base. That being said, I took the last week to get my body recovered on a deload from all the extra volume that I am not necessarily accustomed to. My weight has been fairly heavy at about 225, but I don’t feel like complete shit since incorporating the extra work.
Monday Deadlift Day
McGill Big 3 warmup
Worked up to 315 for 5 singles
Thursday Squat Day
McGill Big 3 warmup
Went up to 235 and just backed off. My hips felt pretty beat up and I just wasn’t feeling it. I don’t have too many days like this, but if I do they are always on deload weeks where there isn’t much excitement to get going.
