Brian Carroll | Week 2 Offseason | Day 1 Squat/ DL

[wa-wps]

LOTS of tees $9.99 and under!

HUGE thanks to Inzer Advance Designs and Captain Jacked for their support! Check them out!

Currently taking it easy and will be picking out a meet around spring time. Until then I’ll be healing up and helping my team get ready for the XPC. I think we will have a very good showing at this meet.

Started back with an offseason format last weekend as the week prior was more of a knocking off rust type deal. Remember, I can’t risk many reps under anything remotely substantial, so I keep the reps at 2-3 vs a normal protocol of 5-6 reps.

Since my log won’t be all that interesting, I’ll be posting more assistance movement so there’s some content other than a boring offseason. No equipment for a while.

Saturday – Squat/DL

Squat:
top set of 550×3

4″ block pull:
top set of 605×2

Pulls from floor:
top set of 515×3

Leg press:
4×10

Stir the pot:
100

Good day! I will say I got quite sore from this session but it felt good. I’ll be working my raw lifts for a bit and put in the work to make for a productive offseason. Intensity will be low but volume high(ish) for a bit until I get to where I need to go.

Goals for this down-time: Build quads, pecs and grip… Let the body recover and continue to perfect my form while healing up as much as possible.

Diet and supplementation is 100% dialed in at this point. Huge thanks to those who have offered help and advice.

Some cool things coming down the pike for 2017…. stay tuned
