Dan Dalenberg | SQ/DL | 4 weeks out

On October 29th, I will be lifting in my second ever multi-ply meet. I will be lifting in Danny Dague’s RPS meet in Columbus, Ohio. Brian Carroll has handled all of my off-season and contest prep training since the Arnold and will continue to guide me through the meet.

1. Squat

Opener, 2nd and 3rd with a reverse band.

Opener- 850

2nd- 900

3rd- 930

Everything was a little extra snug this week. My diet has been a little haphazard lately and as usual, bodyweight is going up a bit as the meet get closer. My briefs were very tight. I beat the up call on the 900 but I think it was still very close to where I need to be. 930 was the best of the three, best unrack and the most aggressive rep.

2. Dead

I was supposed to take an opener and second attempt, but it was already after 8pm and my body was beat. I took 635 which is probably the opener and called it a night. No assistance work or second attempt. It was enough work for the night and I was done.

Pretty abbreviated warm ups too, 315, 405, 500, 635 all for singles. Quick and done.
