16 Feb Danny Vega – Off-season Week 7 – Bench
I am training for the RPS Redemption/XPC Qualifier on May 30, 2015. I will be competing in the classic raw 220lb weight class.
227. I put on 11 lbs in about 8 weeks, which was a little faster than what I had planned, but I also ate more than I was supposed to the last couple of weeks. I want to stay at this weight for now.
Week 7 bench
1. Touch and go Bench 5×3@315,335,350-360,350,350
2. Paused bench 5×3@285,305,325,325,325
3. Light DB press 3×10@80
4. Seated overhead tri extensions 2 warm-up sets then 3×10@60-70
The Pump Pre-workout from Gameplan has been a game changer for me since I train at 6am. I take one scoop 30 minutes before training, and throw another scoop into my intra workout drink, mixed with orange Gatorade and orange flavored Recovery (BCAAs).
