LCS team training <2 Weeks Out

The Lowcountry team’s next meet is October 3rd in Rock Hill, SC.  After that a few other team members, as well as myself, will be competing in the RPS meet on December 12th in Fayetteville, NC.  You’ll always get to see a nice mix of offseason and in-season training.

With a few of my training partners working as firefighters, their schedule rotates a good bit.  We try our best to sync up our training so that we’re doing the same thing but it doesn’t always work out that way.  Today we had guys benching and pulling.  Both are getting ready for the Oct 3rd meet and they’re looking ready!

One of our 198’ers was taking his final heavy benches before the meet.

Dub took:

545 to a 1board

575 to a 2board (video)

615 to a 3board

And back to 545 to touch (video)

He’s looking to open at a 30lbs PR in the bench.  Not bad.

Lil’ Stevie was taking his last deadlifts and worked up to a 2nd attempt off 3” blocks.  We’ve been working on his tightness at the start, because as you can see if he gets it going, it’s going.  This’ll be Steve’s first competition.
