LCS Week 10, Session 4

This will start our heaviest prep for our in-house meet.  Being that this isn’t a full meet we’re only doing a short 8 week cycle with limited gear.

Lowcountry Strength is currently training for an in-house mock meet.  This is an open day to anybody interested in powerlifting.  It’s a free event to come out, ask questions, hang out and get a lift in.  We won’t turn anybody away.  Come ask your questions about powerlifting or just lifting in general.

Here’s the Facebook event’s page:

Training tip:

This day for us is completely optional.  Just a small change to the 3-day combo in the 10/20/Life book.  It adds in some cardio-ish elements while adding in additional back work that it always good for everybody.  More stability type training stuff and like fluff and buff, this day shouldn’t be treated heavy.  I use the indicator that I should be able to do this day and then still turn around and do a squat/deadlift day if need be.  While challenging, it shouldn’t hamper recovery or training.
