Lisa Guggisberg: Last Pre-Contest Training Session

I am 5 days out from the RPS Florida State Championship.  I will be competing raw with wraps.

Last training session and we kept it light only working up to my last warm-ups.

Warm up:

  • McGill Big 3
  • Goblet squats
  • Bar 2 x 10

Squat Work:

  • 145 x 3
  • 195 x 2
  • 245 x 1
  • 265 x 1
  • 295 x 1

Deadlift Work:

  • 135 x 5
  • 225 x 3
  • 265 x 1
  • 315 x 1

Accessory Work:

Backing off the accessory work now as the primary focus is rest and recovery.

  • Stir the pots x 2 x 100
  • Single leg GM’s

This week will I’ll focus on doing some light accessory work and light cardio but primary focus is to rest so I come in feeling good.  Weight cut is right on point so far which is a relief as I had some concern about getting off track with hurricane disruption.  Looking forward to the meet and ready to hit the platform.
