05 Apr Lisa Guggisberg: Pre-Contest 2.5 Weeks Out From 2018 Women’s Pro Am
I am currently in pre-contest mode getting ready for the Women’s Pro Am in Ohio where I will be competing raw at 114lbs.
This was my heaviest week of meet prep. All rest and recovery from this point on.
Warm Up:
- McGill Big 3
- Goblet Squats
- Banded side walks
- Bar 3 x 5
Squat Work:
- 155 x 5
- 175 x 3
- 205 x 1
- 225 x 1
- 255 x 1
- 275 x 1
- 305 x 1 Last Warm up
Worked up to my opener which will be around 335 for 2 singles and then took 385 reverse banded with light bands.
Deadlift Work:
Pulls are feeling much faster and I feel like I’ve found my groove.
Worked up to opener 365 and second 385.
Accessory Work:
- Farmers Carry 3 x 200 meters
- Walking lunges
- Banded side walks
- Leg extension 4 x 12
- Seated Hamstring Curl 4 x 12
- Single leg RDL 3 x 15 each leg
I will be traveling to Tampa this weekend for the APF meet at Strong Life to help out Clint from Team Samson and hang out with PRS team mates Ben Sheard and Jason Kowalewski. I timed my deload around this. I normally don’t like traveling during meet prep but Tampa isn’t too far and I think it’ll be good to see some great lifting to help get me fired up for my own meet.
