Lisa Guggisberg: Week 4 Precontest

I am currently in pre-contest mode getting ready for the RPS Chalk & Iron Meet in Ft. Lauderdale on September 30th. I am about 7 weeks out.  I’ll be going in the raw division.

Got a chance to train with they guys at Team Samson this weekend.  Always a great training environment and happy to have the opportunity to work with them….even if I am a raw lifter right now.

Warm up:

  • McGill Big 3
  • Goblet squats
  • Bar 3 x 10

Squat Work:

Using the big Iron Wolf bar (which I really like)

  • 155 x 3
  • 205 x 3
  • 225 x 2
  • 255 x 1
  • 275 x 1 Inzer Double gripper wraps on
  • 305x 2 x 1
  • 315 x 2 x 1

Deadlift Work:

  • 135 x 5
  • 225 x 3
  • 255 x 1
  • 285 x 1
  • 315 x 1
  • 325 x 2 x 1
  • 345 x 2 x 1

It was a long hot day in the gym so I called it there and decided to hit accessory work on Monday during my lunch hour.

Extremely happy with how 80-85% is moving.  Everything is feeling light.  Bodyweight is slowly coming down. I made some tweeks in my diet and it seems to be working.
