Low Country Strength Training Update

Lowcountry Strength is moving into our off season after coming off a recent meet.  The plan is to find a meet in the later part of the fall or early winter.  I have no desire to get back into the gear while the gym temperature is above 85degrees.  Haha!

Check out my latest article on Power Rack Strength about trying to Learn to Suffer.

As always, a big thanks to Inzer Advance Designs and Captain Jacked for their continued support of TeamPRS.

Check out the PowerRackStrength shop for shirts, hats, books, and other goodies.

Training has started to pick back up.  I’m working getting my muscular endurance built up.  Lots of time spent getting ready for this past competition has left me a little lacking in that department.  Most of the training now is in the neighborhood of 8s.  I’ll work up to 10s after this coming delaod/vacation.

Current training looks similar to this:

Day 1: bench and upper accessory

Day 2: squat/dead combo with rotations like I picked up from Zane

Day 3: fluff and buff primarily pulling

Day 4: lower accessory

I’ve also increased my cardio a bit during this time.  Getting in about 2 runs a week, 2 walks with a weight vest, and just easy strolls with the dog the other 3 days.

Over the past couple years, I’ve developed a few bad habits that have impeded my right knee.  I’m currently working with Paul Oneid to dial that in and get it fixed.   I’ll detail out some of what that was and is, in an upcoming log post.  He’s been extremely helpful and I really feel like I’m moving in the right direction.
