Start of Arnold Prep

Time to get things rolling!

We are now just over 8 weeks out from the XPC finals and things are picking up. My bodyweight is now in the low 280s, with hopes of getting closer to 290lbs. I will be using the weight cut program set out by Brian Carroll. It should be an easy cut, and if you dont have the book you should head over to the shop page and pick up a copy.

Squat:
Barx10
145×5
225×5
335×3
briefs on
515×2
605×2
wraps
700×1
750×1
added suit
800×1 close to depth

Deads:
worked up to 495 off 2 inch blocks, but ribs were hurting so stopped there.

Bench Work
Raw 3 board work last set of 3 at 430
Shirted work doubles off 3 board up to 655

Body is still in one piece and ready to get things going. I cant wait to push things in the next few weeks. I am avoiding thinking for myself much this cycle and letting Brian and Adam call the numbers. Had some help from Paul Key this week with my bench set up. It is amazing what a good team can help you accomplish.

Next week I plan on working up to about 900 in the squat and pushing the bench a little more. I get to start the break in process of a new SDP. It is time to try and go down a size and get it fitted properly. We have a specific protocol that we follow to keep them in good shape and working for longer. I had the chance to talk about breaking in the shirts this week with Gravie V. It is always nice to talk with other lifters that you respect, its a great chance to learn what has worked for them. I am looking forward to heading out to her meet in April and watching some big lifts.
