I have pulled in the old Levithian (backwards) and the new LUP which I love. but I can’t wear briefs under. Thinking about switching to a new combo? Maybe a single ply brief and a fusion? Need some advice thanks guys.

Personally,
With the carryover I’ve seen with the LUP on the deadlift from so many people, I would keep working in that and experiment with the briefs under. Maybe get some 2ply preds that fit a little looser? It won’t be easy, you’ll need to practice but it’ll be worth it.
When it comes to gear, everyone is different. Â Some people like briefs/suit, others suit only. Â Like Jonathan said, it’s more about being able to get into a strong starting position. Â It’s difficult to make a suggestion other than to try some different combo’s and see what feels/works best for you.
I am assuming we are talking about pulling sumo. Sometimes more isn’t always better when it comes to gear. Most people can not get into good position and/or struggle to pull the hips through with briefs and canvas. I always suggest opening the hips up on the LUP (major advantage) and starting there. My opinion you could try a single ply predator or trx under the LUP. Another option is to go with a 2ply grid stitched Fusion which is also a great suit. Brian has had a lot of success pulling in this combo.
