Looking to purchase an Ultra Pro for my girlfriend. Her weight fluctuates between 130-150. She’s on the back end of a Medium or the front end of a large. What size would be best?

Medium for sure. 198/220 lifters could wear a large depending on their shape.

Jonathan Byrd is a competitive powerlifter, with over 16 years of training experience. Byrd has been ranked nationally for the past 6 years under multiple categories. His total has ranked as high as second nationally in the 275 class. He currently has a best total of 2500lbs. Best individual lifts include a 1040lb squat, a 750lb bench press, and 735lb deadlift. His 1040lb squat ranks him 26th all-time squats at the 308 class. Jonathan currently trains out of Team Samson Gym in Jacksonville, FL. Before powerlifting Jonathan was a college athlete at Methodist University as both an all-conference football player and track athlete. Following graduation he played four years of arena football in various leagues.

Yep. I was closing off Byrd’s hips this weekend and almost ran out of room. He could easily fit in an XL if the chest plate wasn’t so small. I have used an XL and it was a little short on me too but could have worked fine. I’ve also used a 3xl and it was a little big but worked fine too. Hope this helps.

I compete at 114/123lbs and wear a small if that gives some perspective. I would say a medium would be good. The beauty of the LUP is that it’s adjustable so keep that in mind!
