Hey guys, this is my dad’s 2-3rd time in multiply gear. This was his last set at 585. Wanted to see if you guys had anything to critique or change. Or have anything that he could work on! Thank you!!

I don’t know why I couldn’t get that link to work the other day, I must have put it in wrong… I agree with everything Paul said. I personally think that you get a better view of squats if you take video from the side. I find it much easier to address issues that way.

He unracked on his toes and was already pitched forward. He needs to move his feet underneath him and initiate the pick with his quads, glutes and upper back. Utilize the lifters’ wedge.
Upper back – His elbows were pointed back. They should be underneath the barbell and in line with the torso.
Hip Hinge – He initiated the squat with a knee bend, as opposed to sitting into and loading the suit. Hinge those hips back, then spread the floor
Because of points 1-3, he was not able to reach full competition legal depth. Fix those and the squat will look much better.
