Running 2nd edition of book, Reading on the bench press weak point index. Noticed a mention of using wide grip presses. Just wondering if that would be in Assistance block A or B? or do you run a training cycle doing wide grip bench instead of your normal grip? dont see it listed in the assistance chapt.
I would use wide grip pressing as a “block A” style exercise. Personally, I wouldn’t use it a primary training lift (a “max effort” lift) as I find that wide grip pressing takes a toll on my shoulders and pecs. Some lighter, higher volume work as an assistance exercise though is a good use.
