Team Samson – January 27 Squats and Deads

Nick is currently training for the SPF Daytona Classic on February 24. Brian and Clint are planning to compete in April and will be starting meet prep. Jason and Stan are tentatively planning to compete in May.

We had six people in the gym Saturday. Lisa came up to train with us and had some fun with the buffalo bar. Everyone but Clint used the buffalo bar with Lisa and Brian breaking in briefs. Jason and Stan worked up to a double at 465. Shane didn’t get under a bar for his deload. Clint smoked 610 with the safety squat bar. We pulled off of 2″ blocks. Clint pulled sumo for the first time in quite a while. Brian started breaking in a new Inzer Fusion deadlift suit. Assistance work varied between individuals. Belt squats, goblet squats, and lunges were used. Everyone went outside for suitcase and bottoms up carries.

I missed Monday’s bench session, unfortunately no update there.
