Team Samson Powerlifting: Week of Silence

Week of May 7th:

As Jason Kowalewski is getting ready for his meet at the RPS Central Florida PHG Throwdown Memorial Day weekend, it was time to get serious in the gym and getting focused on training. So, we ramped up the volume on the music and went to work.

Recap: Brian Carroll was in Chicago hosting a 10/20/Life seminar, so the gym was left in the hands of veteran Clint Smith. Clint is currently in off-season programming as he is eyeing the WPO later this year. Jason Kowalewski worked up to 425lbs on bench with comp commands and on Squat worked up to 585lbs and is locked in for the meet. Filipe Gusmao worked up to 395×3 on squat and 405×2 on deads. Shane Ford worked up to 425×3 on squat.

Quote of the week: (As someone in the gym was trying to make fun of another member) “Shh, music is on bro”
