Dan Dalenberg | Offseason | Last Squat

By now you have surely seen videos of people wearing the new Inzer Leviathan. My training partner Dain got one several weeks ago and has just started working in it a bit. It’s easier to deal with than any other suit I have either worn or helped someone with.

Easy to put on:

Straps are nice and thin- actually feel the bar on your back!

Best part: Easy to take off.

It literally does basically just fall off once you get the strings loosened up. Canvas can be a real bitch to deal with. Once a tight suit has been on and your legs swell up a little bit, canvas does not want to come off. There is simply no give in the material. I’ve watched a $400 suit get cut off of a guy because there was just no way it was coming off the right way. He was not pleased as you can imagine.

Now for my training…

Squat- Single to 8-9RPE

Worked up a plate at a time to 700 and took it for a pretty easy single. It was about 8RPE at that point and I decided that was good enough. I’m happy to hit an easy 700 right now, no need to go much heavier than that.

Deads

Handful of singles at 405, 455 and 500.

I think I’ve mentioned this before, but I was having trouble with a wrist injury. I couldn’t turn my left hand over and hold on to the bar. Whatever was wrong has finally healed and I think is back to normal. I’m cautiously optimistic as I felt no pain during this session.

Block Pulls- Triples

405 x 2, 455 x 2, 500

Leg Curls- 4 x 15

Bird dog cool down

Coming off a very poor performance in Atlantic City. Despite an excellent training cycle, I did not execute to my ability. This failure has left a very sour taste. Currently in the offseason; building momentum towards preparing for the XPC Arnold Classic.
