Dan Dalenberg | DL Only- Wk 1 | Bench

I recently competed at the Arnold Classic, lifting at 242 multi-ply. I PRed all around going 8/9 with a 940 squat, 700 bench and 730 deadlift for a 2370 total. I have some unfinished business from that meet, a missed 3rd attempt deadlift that I hope to redeem this July. My training will be a mix of off-season and deadlift contest prep.

As a part of this off season I have some new gear to break in. One of which is a size 54 SDP. This shirt is a little different than what I had before. Triple ply sleeve and chest panel. It is also purple in color. I think this was a somewhat limited run of material for Inzer, it feels a little different than the navy blue stuff I was using.

1. Bench- raw, RPE 6, triples

Up to 315. My pec felt very tight and my left elbow isn’t right. The elbow has been funky for a couple weeks, I think it is out and needs adjusted. Headed to the chiro next week. I did get a massage 2 days after and that helped the pec a ton, but I think the elbow needs more attention.

2. Shirt Break in- 4 board

I did 3 triples with 405 to the board. This material is different for sure. Really intrigued to how this shirt will feel at lower board heights.

3. Speed Bench – 5 x 2

135 + mini band. Pec was real tight, kept this very light.

4. Hammer Curls

5. Pressdowns
