Dan Dalenberg- More fluffing/Weight Cut/MEAT Tip

Training is wrapped up for Relentless Detroit on the 8th. Lifting raw at 242.

Easy workout last night. Did my entire warm up and then some really light singles on squat. Mindlessly did ab/adductor work, hack squats and planks. VERY boring, I know. Just trying to keep moving.

Weight Cut

So far, so good. Actually great. I feel good, just flat. Cut out carbs for the most part on Sunday. I’m down from 253 to 246.5 already. Plan for now is just to stay the course. I expect to be at weight a little early, which is awesome. At that point I will very carefully eat and drink. No reason to deplete more than I need to. Last time I half-assed the carb cut and had to sweat. Not a lot, but enough that it was unpleasant. I should be able to avoid that. #4daywaroncarbs is going well.

MEAT TIP

Always wrap up tightly. OH. That’s a different meat tip- still applicable for lifting weights though right?

Actual Meet Tip– Reduce your stress level for meet day and have a game plan. Write it all down. Maybe I am completely OCD but I have a file in my phone with all the times and addresses for weigh ins and the venue. I also know where I will be having my meals and how far it is from Saturday morning breakfast to the venue. Overkill? Probably, but I am in flight 1 and don’t want to be rushed. My warm ups are all written down as well.

I don’t have to think. It’s all in a file and I just follow the plan. Of course 2nd and 3rd attempts can and will change, but the warm ups and other details of the day are figured out.
