Dan Dalenberg | Off season Pulling

Currently in offseason mode, rebuilding up to the 250s and working towards a summer meet.

This week has pretty much been a bust. I’ve got some nasty sinus/upper respiratory virus and have made it in to train once this week. That session went ok, but I will just be writing this week off. Hopefully better training next week.

Sumo Pulls- Triples to RPE 6-7. Worked up to 495 with a hook grip. The weight was light but the grip was pretty high on the pain scale. Not completely impossible, but I can tell it will be a few more weeks before I can do this with real weight. Any tips getting used to hook grip pain? I would really like to hear them if so.

Sumo Block Pulls- 2 sets of 6 with 315. Used the hook again.

Conventional Pulls- 2 sets of 6 with 315.

#BicepsBRO- 3 exercises, 4 sets of 15 done in rounds. I think I did hammers, reverse and some goofy EZ curl bar thing we have. Stop being a hardcore powerlifter that doesn’t do any bicep movements. My bet is that your elbows will thank you.

That’s it. BOOOORING.
