04 Nov Dan Dalenberg | Offseason | SQ/DL
Coming off a very poor performance in Atlantic City. Despite an excellent training cycle, I did not execute to my ability. This failure has left a very sour taste. Currently in the offseason; building momentum towards preparing for the XPC Arnold Classic. Â
This was my first squat session to go very well in a few weeks. I’m not super happy with how it went, but after a brief break the past couple weeks I’m ready to get things moving in the right direction.
Squat- Triples @ 7RPE
515, 565, 605 and done. 605 moved ok. Not as fast as it should have and I actually cut it short one rep. I had a groin issue maybe a month ago that is still bugging me a tiny bit. I need to do a better job of getting it warmed up and should be fine.
Dead- 5 singles at 315
Block Pulls- Lots of triples at 405
These were super easy. I need to push this a little bit over the coming weeks. I’ve kept it light to really focus on squeezing off the blocks. I’m actually getting good at block pulls now.
Bunch of leg curls and bird dogs
Finished up and done.
I’ll be heading over to Detroit on Saturday to help out my friend Cory Schutter at Relentless. Judging by his training videos, he is due for a good day. Looks much stronger than in the past. I’m looking forward to being there, lots of friends lifting. The guys over in Detroit do a very nice job of managing chaos and putting on a big show. There is a lot going on that day! And they manage to make it a ton of fun and run about as smooth as you could imagine.
