Dan Dalenberg | Offseason Wk 13 | SQ/DL

I recently lifted at the Arnold Classic XPC meet where I totaled 1955, benched 500 raw and pulled a PR deadlift. Off season training has started after a nice long deload. I’m going back to what has worked the absolute best for me, having Brian Carroll handle writing my programming.

The focus over the next few weeks will be mostly around transitioning into gear, breaking in all of my new Inzer stuff and getting comfortable with it all.

Getting used to the briefs now. #Inzer #fusion #1020life #powerrackstrength

1. Squat– Top set of 4, 6 RPE

Gear Used: Briefs and a belt.

Worked up through 505. The briefs that I am wearing are a size 38 Inzer Fusion with the straps hacked off. The Fusion is single ply front, double ply back and pretty stretchy. This makes for a pretty forgiving brief that I can work in relatively easy. Dain called depth here, thankfully. These felt a mile high, but then I see the video and realize he is taking me plenty deep. Feels so different than I am used to!

2. Deadlift– Top set of 4, 6 RPE

Gear Used: DL Suit, straps down

Worked up through 455. The suit is another size 38 Fusion, but this time with a grid stitched back. The grid stitching really changes the way this suit feels. Less stretch and tighter, resulting in a considerably more aggressive feel even straps down.

Pulling reps in any kind of gear: AWFUL.

3. Box Squat- Light, 3 x 6

Set up the box slightly below and did these raw. Working on hip power.

4. One legged GM

5. Stir the pots

So far so good with this gear stuff. Everything fits good and the first couple sessions have gone well.
