09 Dec Dan Dalenberg- RUM 8- Pulls 9 weeks out
Training for RUM 8 on February 8th. I will be lifting on the wrapped/monolift day, hoping to post another 2000+ raw total.
Warm Up
Goblet squats, curls, pec flyes
McGill 3
Hip and pec stretching
Training
Squat- 50% x 3 x 1
415 for 3 singles. Very light but much better than last week. Felt like myself under the bar. Thank god. The squat is my best lift and to be competitive at RUM, I will need a big one.
Pulls- 75% x 3 x 3
525 for 3 triples. Deads feel very strong. Strength is on point.
Sumos- Triples
315, 365, 405. Sumo feels good too.
Pause Squat- 3 x 5
235 for all three
Tonight I pulled in gold
This weekend I saw some awful news. Amber Webb, who has been battling Ewing’s Sarcoma and was one of the 2013 Relentless kids, was rushed to the hospital for an emergency procedure. Unfortunately, she didn’t make it out.
I barely knew her, having only met her twice but had followed her story from the beginning. At the meet both this year and last she seemed so happy, vibrant. Absolutely tragic for someone so young to have lift cut short. She fought like hell to the end.
Gold is the color for childhood cancer awareness. Support cancer research, no child or family should have to deal with what Amber’s is.
