Dan Dalenberg | Week 2 Offseason

Currently in offseason mode, rebuilding up to the 250s and working towards the Atlantic City RPS/XPC meet on August 29th.

Finally feeling 100% again and building some momentum on this off season training.

The rebuild is going very well so far, I feel very large and am still in the high 230s. Still look leaner but I’m filling out and am feeling big. Scott keeps telling me the end goal is 260 which I’m sure will feel absolutely gargantuan. Immediate goal is to start meet prep at around 245, should be easy to get there.

Monday- Squats and Pulls

Squat- 7RPE Triple- worked up to a 600 triple. Moved well and a good start. It will be a couple more weeks before heavy weight feels good again.

Sumo Pulls- 7RPE Triple- worked up to 500 triple. My best sumo pull is a pathetic 545 so I am very encouraged by this.

Pause Squat- 2 x 6 at 315

Conventional Pulls- 2 x 6 at 315. Very snappy. Whenever I have put focus on sumo pulling in the past my conventional pull has moved. I know 315 is light but my dead feels very strong.

Wednesday- Bench

Bench- 7RPE Triple- worked up to 405

2 Board Press-3 x 12 @ 315

Close Grip Floor Press- 3 x 12 at 185. Used a swiss bar here.

100 reps of pec fly with a mini band

Lots of good pressing work here. I am actually pretty sore today. Hopefully get my bench moving again.

Meet Annoucement

Not sure if I had shared this prior to now, but I will be lifting at the Boardwalk Bash meet in Atlantic City in August. The roster is shaping up nicely with both PRS teammates and some local friends. Should be a good meet!
