Dan Dalenberg | Week 8 | Bench

Training for the XPC/RPS Atlantic City meet on August 29th. I will be lifting raw with wraps at 242.

Good bench night! Thankful things went well after the past 3 sessions being painful and having to hold back. At 8 weeks out I still would have had time to get things on track but it is getting close to crunch time. This training session went pretty well and I think I should be able to get right back on track now.

Bench- Last warm up x 2, Opener x 2 with reverse band

Everything felt really good through warmups. I was lowering the bar kind of slow and tentatively, mixture of elbows being beat up form Monday’s squatting and some fear but all of the pressing went well. Decided to use an over sized sling shot on the working sets of 405 and 455.

2Board Close Grip- 2 x 5, 275 for both sets

100 reps of flyes, pressdowns and band pull-a-parts.
