LCS Week 6, Session 1

Light squats working on form, while hammering the deads a bit.  Got to admit, hook grip in the cold isn’t nearly as fun as it sounds.  And I hope it sounds horrid, because it’s worse than that.

Lowcountry Strength is currently in our off season training.  Lots of different things going on right now.  I’ve moved the group into a higher volume phase while I’m working with Zane Geeting for my training.  Pretty cool to see quite a few different things happening for all the folks here.

As always, a big thanks to Inzer Advance Designs and Captain Jacked for their continued support of TeamPRS.

Working some light doubles in the squat.  Been playing around with bar position and it’s still messing with me a bit.  Seems like the last set it clicked a bit better.  Going to try to go with a closer grip.  Seems to force the upper back into a better position.  I normally can’t do that with a lower bar position but where it’s sitting now I think I can get away with it with minimal impact on my arms.

Deads felt great.  But they really always do below 600.  Haha!  I feel like they’re moving well.  Still would like to have seen a bit tighter upper back but not disappointed with it at the moment.

Squats: in briefs only

455×2 x5sets

Deads: in briefs and suit bottoms

475×3 x3sets

RDLs: 275, 315, 335×8

GHR, calf raises and leg ext for 4 sets of a bunch.
