12 Nov 5 Weeks Out of RPS, Session 2
I’m currently training for the Holiday Havoc RPS meet on 12-12-2015. I’ve been a 220lbs lifter for 10+years, but I’ll be making my way down to 198lbs for this competition.
Some where over the past couple years I’ve really messed up my squat. Even being in gear and getting back into the gear, I’ve some how stopped sitting back nearly enough (or not at all). With Scott Paltos’ help, I’m starting to fix that.
My 2nd training day is heavily geared towards fixing those squat weaknesses and technique issues. The agenda for this training session was a wide and deep box squat for 10 triples around 50% vs mini bands. Deep and wide is great for anything other than squats.

Ended up getting down to a 12 inch box. Hips and hamstrings were kind of sore the next day. Wild how somewhere over the years as much hamstring work as I thought I was doing that, it just wasn’t that much.
Finished it all off with some piston squats, GHRs, and 10 minutes suck, I mean abs. Really looking forward to seeing how all this technique work will pay off in a couple weeks. Squats are looking stronger. Lets see what happens.
