Danny Vega – Off-season test week – squats and bench

Currently in Off-season mode. Will be preparing for the USPA Veterans Classic after this 10 week block.

Test week has gone well so far. I’ve hit heavier weights than I have in any of my previous off seasons.

Monday squats

55*10, 145*6, 195*5, 235*4, 285*3, 325*2, 415*1, added belt 465*1, light wrap 525*1, tighter wrap 585*1, competition wrap 615*1 @RPE 8. This was an easy heavy single.

Wednesday bench

45*20, 95*10, 135*5, 185*4, 225*3, 275*2, 315*1, 365*1, 385*1@RPE 9. Slower than I wanted but I good paused bench

225*20 missed 21 right at the lockout. This was a rep PR for me

100 reps of cable curls

100 reps of cable tri extensions

Deadlift on Friday. Gonna end this off season well.
