14 Dec Danny Vega – Off season – Week 5 Bench
I am currently in off season mode. Over the next 4 months I will be focusing on building my bench and working on some weak points until I start meet prep for next May’s RPS Redemption meet. I will be competing raw with wraps in the 242 weight class.
My bench is coming alive. I’m still getting used to how easy these weights feel in my hands, but there’s no rush. I’m sticking to my plan. Today was my best bench day in a long time. The volume is still high but I’m moving some more weight after that first month.
Bench 45×15, 135×8, 175×5, 215×3, 275×1, 305×6,6,6,6,8
Close grip bench 275×5,5,9
Back down set 245×12
DB incline bench 3×10@85
DB flye 3×10@40
JM press 125×10, 2×10@135
