06 Oct Danny Vega – Raw United meet prep – Week 7 squats
I am training for the Raw United meet on November 7th in Tampa, FL. I will be competing raw with wraps in the 220 weight class.
60 hours after cutting over 15 lbs and spending 10 hours in the sun doing heavy crossfit, it was time to Squat. I felt really good this morning, considering. Weight was back up to 232 and my joints felt pretty good too. We spent some extra time warming up and got to it.
Squat 55*10, 145*8, 235*5, 325*3, added belt 415*2, added wraps 505*1, then 2*2@575 at about a 7 RPE. Then reverse band 605*2 at 8 RPE.
I thought I may have been a tad high on my first double, but the Internet disagreed. Maybe all I need to worry about from now on is virtual white lights?

Backward Sled drags 100 yards @325
Leg curl 3*15@110-150
Felt good, surprisingly. Which means next week I bet I’ll feel better when I have even more rest.
