Danny Vega – Triple Six Week 4 – Benching, running, Pulling & more running

I just spent the last 3 months perfecting the 10/20/Powerbuilding template with Tucker Loken, and we nailed it. The ebook should be out by the fall under the guidance of our fearless leader, Brian Carroll. My newest goal is to complete the 666 challenge under the coaching of teammate Tony Cowden. This is by far the coolest goal I’ve set for myself and I hope to join the ranks of the few who have completed this challenge.

I really love lifting weights. It elevates my mood and it’s just a vital part of my day that really brings me joy. Now that I’m running, I’m also experiencing runner’s high. Add to that the keto diet which boosts my brain and keeps my hunger in check while giving me more energy, and you can say that right now I’m really loving my life.

Speaking of keto, if you want to see what I’m eating, recipes and keto tips and hacks, check out my new IG page @ketocounterculture.

This week was a great step in the right direction of reaching my goal in this challenge. Lifts are where they need to be. Running times aren’t but they’re getting there.

8/3 Bench

45×20, 135×10, 185×5, 225×3, 275×3, 315×2, 345×3, 5×3@315

Tate press 35×8, 45×6, 3×6@50

Running stuff. Time was a bit slower than my last run at this distance but it was an effort issue, not an issue of ability. In other words I didn’t push hard enough. I’ll fix that.

8/5 Deadlift

135×5, 225×3, 315×2, 405×1, 495×1, 535×3

Running stuff. It was hard this morning.
