Danny Vega – USPA MEAT prep – Week 2 squats and dietary adjustments

I am preparing to compete at the USPA Veterans Classic on November 15th. I will be competing fake raw with wraps in the 220 weight class.

Yup, volume is still high, and I’m still only in sleeves.

I’ve been a little loose with my diet lately. Don’t take this as me wanting to be too lean, I just know my body and I know when the fat gets too high (especially on training days) I start to look and feel worse. So for the rest of my meet prep, unless I feel like I need to adjust again, here’s what I’ll be doing:

Training days 222 protein, 488 carbs, 79 fat. Off days 250 protein, 107 carbs, 158 fat.

Here’s what we did today.

Squat 55*10, 145*5, 195*3, 245*3, 325*3, 375*3, 425*3, 4*3@475

2 count Pause squats 285*6, 325*6, 345*6

Piston squats 285*6, 325*6, 345*6

Backward Sled drags 270*4 trips (100 yards)

Leg curls 3*15@85
