Danny Vega – USPA MEAT prep – Week one pulls

I am preparing to compete at the USPA Veterans Classic on November 15th. I will be competing fake raw with wraps in the 220 weight class.

I know. That olive drab next level tee looks awesome. If you like it, get one for yourself here

I’m still sore. Everywhere. Today the volume stayed high. I pulled some light sumo at about 65% because I pulled a heavy single just a few weeks back. This workout was brutal. My back is fried. I’m looking forward to hitting the airdyne tonight and tomorrow to help with recovery.

Warm-up:

Hip circle,  KB swing, KB Goblet squat, bird dogs, some more dynamic warm-up stuff.

Sumo pulls 135*2, 225*2, 315*2, 405*2, 4*4@445

Deadlifts paused at shin 3*5@405. I suck at these. Next time I’ll start lighter to practice form before my work sets.

Rack rows 225*10, 275*10, 275*10

McGill chins 15*1

 GHR 3*15
