21 Dec Lab Rat – Offseason Week 5
The weekend kicked off Friday afternoon after receiving some very intriguing news, more on that in a later post. For now, lets just say this offseason might be cut short. Saturday marked the start of week 5. I’m currently performing all three lifts the same day to allow more focus on weak points and accessory work. McGill Big 3 and goblet squats for a warm up then it was under the bar.
Squat – this is my second time in knee wraps since the end of May, still need to make some minor adjustments but overall I feel like I’m in a good position. Top set ended around an 8 RPE.
Bar 2 x 5, 150 x 5, 240 x 3, 330 x 2, light wrap added 420 x 2, 470 x 2, medium wrap 530 x 2
Bench – I felt great going into the bench, everything was moving with ease. Top set ended in the 6-7 RPE range.
135 x 5, 225 x 3, 275 x 2, 315 x 2, 365 x 2
Deadlift – Still not a fan of pulling sumo, this might change one day. The plan was to pull doubles but I felt my form breaking down so I thought it best to shut it down.
245 x 2, 335 x 2, 445 x 2, 495 x 1
