Paul Oneid – My Bench Showed Up!

MEAT PREP TIME!  I’ll be competing at the EPC (IPL) Finals December 10, 2017 up here in my hometown of Ottawa, ON. I’ll be lifting at 220lbs and coming home with a nice $2500 cheque.  This off-season was perhaps my most productive to date and I am looking forward to showcasing the improvements I have made. 3 weeks out!

I don’t mean to alarm anyone, but the bench plan we decided on is really coming to fruition.  My elbows aren’t in pain and I am moving weight with confidence.  Learning to dial in my mental game for the bench press has also been crucial.  I could not be happier with the way things moved on this day.  I’ll have one more heavy-ish bench sessions moving my opener for a few reps, but the session on this day was the heaviest I will go.

The plan on this day was to hit an opener, something around a 2nd and then add a 2 board for my planned 3rd.  I did exactly that and feel like I am in a great place both physically and mentally to display my progress on the platform.  Momentum is rolling.
