My apologies if this question has been previously answered but I was wondering if there were any recommendations for those of us who can only train 2 days per week. I am 38 years old and between work/family commitments and injury history (back, ankle and shoulder surgeries), I am limited in how often I can realistically train. It may be that the “jumbo template” in the 10/20/Life book is the way to go, however I am interested in any further insight on the topic. I love to train but also want to be around for the long haul and feel a 2 day approach is the way to go. Off-days are spent doing McGill 3 (a lifesaver!) and walks/other easy cardio. Thank you so much and look forward to your replies.
Hi Hank,
I have had lots of weeks where I can only train 2x per week. I am a firm believer in having the flexibility in training to make adjustments that fit your life schedule. I would recommend a little experimentation to monitor how you feel and how you are progressing. As we get older sometimes longer rest periods are a lot more beneficial for us to progress than more training sessions.
Hope this helps
