Byrd: DAC and some lifting!

Spring football is coming to a close, which means my lifting will be kicking up a level over the next few weeks. Until then, the focus remains on putting a competitive group on the field in 2018!

Real Country!

For those of you who know me, you know that I am a small town guy from eastern NC. With that said I grew up on beach music and classic country. I was excited last week to get a chance at seeing DAC in concert. I even managed to talk Liz into going with me. Truth be told I think she had a good time as well, but I mean who wouldnt? He was a blast, although I had expected the worst at 79 years old. He played for 90ish minutes straight, and was helped on and off the stage. Was well worth the money and time to check him out.

Ok! so the actual training part of the log. I have managed to get some light work in weekly, and have been avoiding the bench. With my pec it makes it really hard to self lift out, so I have been staying with dumbbells. It has seemed to help my pec some, but honestly they cant take much volume!

Dumbbell press

4×8 @80lbs

band fly 3×20

band push downs 150 total reps

hammer curls 3×20
