26 Sep Chris Bartl Training Log
Not quite sure where we left off since the server went down but we shall pick up at the start of the week.
I am now in my final week leading up to the USPA So-Cal Open in Long Beach. The meet will be at Metro Flex in Long Beach and is a two day event, running everything from raw, to single ply and multi ply. All raw and single ply lifters are going on Saturday and multi ply lifters are going Sunday. According to the event coordinator, there are almost 100 lifters for Saturday and about 45 for Sunday.
THANK GOD I’m not lifting Saturday. They decided to split this up into morning and evening sessions. I’ve seen them do this before and it was a total shit show. Awards didn’t get given out until 11:30 at night and by that time I was tired and over it. So I’m hoping Sunday won’t be that bad. I’m quite excited to lift in California again and not have to fly. Definitely takes a lot of stress off the plate. Plus my good friend Will Kuenzel of Low Country Strength is coming out to handle me. Not sure if he’s ever been to California before but it will be nice to see him and catch up.
This week was all accessory stuff after taking my openers. I won’t go into detail about what the warm ups looked like because if you haven’t figured it out yet, it’s pretty much the same stuff rotated around.
