This was week 8 of this off-season block.

Day 1 Squat/DL

Buffalo Bar Squats RPE 8

up to 775 x 1 in briefs only

Deadlifts RPE 8

up to 585 in full gear

KB Swings

8 x 4

Extra Wide Box Squats

2 x 4

Grip work

 

Day 2 Bench Press

2 Board Press RPE 8

up to 365 x 2

Close Grip 3 Board Press

225 x 5

275 x 5

315 x 5 x 3

Lat Pulldowns

8 x 4

Band Pushdowns

100 reps

Grip work

 

Day 3

Instead of training on this day Dan and myself spend the evening preparing his garage to be the location of our new garage gym. We have dubbed it Mattawan Barbell. It’s just the bare bones of what we need to do our squatting, deadlifting and benching, but it’s awesome and I think it going to work out great. It’s definitely a far cry from the commercial gym we’ve been training in for the last few months. Now there won’t be any waiting to use equipment or terrible elevator music playing while we’re attempting to lift heavy objects.

He has totaled pro in 3 weight classes; 2304@275, 2435@308 and 2500@SHW. His best lifts include a 1060 squat, 800 bench and 715 deadlift.
