06 Sep Deload week – Bodybuilding douchebaggery
This deload doesn’t feel like it is needed. I don’t feel fucked up, sore, tired, rundown or pissed off at the world.
I feel normal.
Well, shit… let’s make it a swole week and have some fun.
Seated Leg Curls
Set 1: 90 lbs × 15
Set 2: 135 lbs × 15
Set 3: 135 lbs × 15
Set 4: 135 lbs × 20
Last set went to almost failure.
Leg Press
Set 1: 180 lbs × 10
Set 2: 270 lbs × 10
Set 3: 360 lbs × 10
Set 4: 450 lbs × 10
Set 5: 540 lbs × 10
Set 6: 630 lbs × 10
Set 7: 720 lbs × 10
Set 8: 810 lbs × 10
Set 9: 630 lbs × 20
Had my training partner, Dan, put a 45 pound plate on each side while I rested. The idea here was to do 10 reps per set until it got hard. Minimal rest and it sucked.
After the last set he stripped a few plates off and I did a set with 20 reps.
100 total reps for this fucker.
SSB Box Squat
Set 1: 160 lbs × 5
Set 2: 250 lbs × 5
Set 3: 260 lbs × 5
Set 4: 260 lbs × 5
Being that it technically is a deload, this was done very light. I know it doesn’t make sense, but at least the “main” movement wasn’t heavy.
DB Leg Curl
Set 1: 50 lbs × 10
Set 2: 50 lbs × 10
Set 3: 50 lbs × 10
Ended up the festival of reps with some light DB leg curls. Lowered the weight very slowly for each rep to feel it some more.
Had fun today at the gym training like this. I am sure I will be sore tomorrow from the reps but I sometimes miss training like this.
