28 Jun Last week’s benching
Yikes! Ya get way behind in posting real quick.
[wa-wps]The whole LCS team is in off season right now. There are a couple meets coming up in the fall that have caught our attention. We’ll transition more into meet prep later but for now it’s all off season work for us.
I’m currently refining some gear tweaks after coming off my last meet. While my performance wasn’t there, I learned a lot and am going to refine a few things before transitioning into a more traditional off season.

For this period we’ve eliminated boards. My bar path needs to go lower sooner and I’m hesitant to do that with boards.
Worked up to a single at 315 and then got in the shirt.
405×1 way away from touching
485×2 to about a 2 then 1 board height
485×2 same result
535×1 to touch
535×1 to touch
In hindsight I don’t hold the bar in the best groove. I get it close to touching and then get loose to touch instead of letting it keep riding the groove. I’ve got to learn to be more patient.
