LCS 3-4 weeks out

[wa-wps]

There are 3 meets that members of Lowcountry Strength are currently training for. APF Equipped Nationals on May 29th, RPS Backyard Brawl, June 4th, and RPS Kalamazoo Barbell Bash June 11th. If you follow along, training for the group is posted but understand that I make adjustments on a daily basis for individuals and those specifically training for meets. Since we follow the 10/20/Life protocol, each individual of LCS is given their own weak point training if it does not correspond to that posted.

Benching went like this:

bar x bunch

135 x few

225 x couple

315 x 1

365 and 405 to 3bd

in navy shirt:

455×1 to 3bd (hip started hurting)

495×1 to 2bd (hip got a little worse)

525×1 to 1bd x2sets (hip was really bad)

545×1 to 1bd (hip popped hard)

switched to black shirt:

545×1 to 1bd (no hip pain)

545×1 to touch (opener, never noticed hip again)

585×1 to 1bd (2nd attempt, much more confidence without hip being a whiny bitch)

I’ll squat and pull in 2 days. We’ll see how the hip holds up then. It’s super sore today but less pain than I’ve had in a week. Good sign. I hope.  Just got a couple more heavy sessions.
