LCS lifter highlight, Nic Hrabley

[wa-wps]

There are 3 meets that members of Lowcountry Strength are currently training for. APF Equipped Nationals on May 29th, RPS Backyard Brawl, June 4th, and RPS Kalamazoo Barbell Bash June 11th. If you follow along, training for the group is posted but understand that I make adjustments on a daily basis for individuals and those specifically training for meets. Since we follow the 10/20/Life protocol, each individual of LCS is given their own weak point training if it does not correspond to that posted.

Nic is competing on May 29th in the APF equipped nationals.  My general rule of thumb is that newcomers to LCS have to do 2 raw meets before they get into gear.  This prevents them from making the same mistakes that I did.  The 10/20/Life philosophy helps with this as well but I need to make sure they have a proper baseline before we even think about introducing gear.  Nic has been the one exception to that.  He came in with a good base and was interested in gear.  Each meet has been better and better.  While we had a rocky start with him as a training partner, he has grown to be quite a man and a pivotal part of the team.  Extremely coachable and able to relay information well, I lean on him to coach others when I don’t get the chance.

Nic will compete as a 198 lifter.  We’ll open in the squat around 600, bench 420, and 500 dead.  Here’s a few of his most recent training videos.  Looking forward to seeing him smash it in a couple weeks.  Join me in wishing him an easy cut, a big rebound, and light weights!
