LCS Off season: Week 1, Session 1

Breaking in a new pair of briefs!  Featured image unrelated to current workout.  Ha!

Lowcountry Strength is currently in our off season training.  Lots of different things going on right now.  I’ve moved the group into a higher volume phase while I’m working with Zane Geeting for my training.  Pretty cool to see quite a few different things happening for all the folks here.

As always, a big thanks to Inzer Advance Designs and Captain Jacked for their continued support of TeamPRS.

Oh, it’s been a long time since I’ve had to break in a new pair of tight briefs.  It’s been close to 2-3 years since I’ve had anything this tight, and I’m excited.  It’ll take some time to get them really going.  As you can tell they’re tight and not quite completely seated just yet.

Along with the McGill Big 3 to warm up, I’ve been doing some hip exercises that Paul Oneid has given me to do for a bit of hip imbalance I’m dealing with.  These things are definitely helping.

Still working with the hanging chain.

bar x10 x2sets

135×5

225×3

315×1

add briefs:

405×3 w/ 2sets of chain

405×3 w/ 4sets of chain

455×3 w/ 4sets of chain

405×3 w/ 4sets of chain

Raw wide stance pause squats:

225×5 x5 w/ 2sec pause

HOLY shit, these things smoked my hips.  Somewhere along the way, my hips haven’t gotten really weak.  🙁

Speed deads:

315×1 x5singles

Bentover rows:

225×8 x5sets

Posting squatting and deadlifting, these are incredibly hard.

Good girl/Bad girl:

I feel really naughty here.
