LCS Week 7, session 4

[wa-wps]

There are 3 meets that members of Lowcountry Strength are currently training for. APF Equipped Nationals on May 29th, RPS Backyard Brawl, June 4th, and RPS Kalamazoo Barbell Bash June 11th. If you follow along, training for the group is posted but understand that I make adjustments on a daily basis for individuals and those specifically training for meets. Since we follow the 10/20/Life protocol, each individual of LCS is given their own weak point training if it does not correspond to that posted.

We had a big in-house get together over the weekend. Unfortunately we don’t do these nearly often enough. With a few of guys all getting ready for meets, we pulled everybody’s last heavy day together to make sure everybody had plenty of help. It was a great day and I was really happy with the turn out and comradery.

My my plan for the day was 2 doubles at 620. The first set was a little high. Told ’em to call me deeper on the second and it went much better. Imagine going deeper in gear and it making it better. 😉

Deadlifts went well. Really trying to be more patient and build the pressure before I pull. Getting adjusted to how I like the suit to fit and feel when I pull.

Besides myslef, little Nicky went somewhere around 3rd attempt-ish with a reverse mini band squat of 675. Matt and Steve who are are going raw hit their last warmups and openers. I’ll push them one more time to take a reverse band 3rd in 2 weeks.

Everybody is looking good and very happy with how the day went.
