07 Jul Lisa Guggisberg-Last week of offseason squats/deadlifts
I recently competed at the RPS US Open in San Diego, CA where I totaled 903lbs at 114 raw in wraps. I am currently planning on doing my first multiply meet in September.
[wa-wps]I was able to make it out to the Team Samson Compound this week. I wanted to make sure all my gear fit properly before I got too deep into meet prep and because who doesn’t want to go lift with those guys right??
Warm up
- McGill Big 3
- Goblet squats
- Bar 2 x 10
Squats
Plan was to go moderate in briefs only before I start official meet prep this Saturday.
- 110 x 5
- 150 x 3
- 190 x 2
- 225 x 1
- 245 x 1
- 295 x 1
- 315 x 1 Inzer Predator briefs on
- 335 x 1
- 350 x 2 singles
Brian didn’t like my first 350 and had me take it again. I was getting too lose in the bottom.
Deadlifts
- 135 x 5
- 185 x 1
- 225 x 1
- 255 x 1
- 315 x 1 Inzer Fusion suit on
- 335 x 1
- 350 x 2 singles (one with straps over belt, one with straps under belt)
Brian worked with me on the suit and gave me some good pointers on set up. Basically setting up in reverse order of my raw set up. We also played around with the straps and figured out straps (which are long on me) under my belt is where the money is.
I’ll be starting official meet prep this coming Saturday and doing a short 8 weeks prep so that I don’t come in too beat down for the meet.
