Lisa Guggisberg-Precontest 5 weeks out

I am currently in pre-contest mode getting ready for the XPC Finals at the Arnold where I will be competing in the multi-ply division.

Squat/Deadlifts from past Saturday

Warm up:

  • McGill Big 3
  • Goblet squats
  • Bar 2×10

Worked up to last warm up of 405#, around projected opener at 445# for two singles and then reverse band of 480#.  Weight feels light, I just need to keep working on my unrack and sitting back into the suit.

Deadlifts:

Brian suggested I put my briefs on under my Inzer Fusion suit.  This combo seems to work well.  I was getting more pop off the floor.

Worked up to an easy 360# and then 405# for singles.  This ties my best competition pull.  Not bad for being 5 weeks out.

Accessory work:

  • All out stir the pot (200)
  • Leg curl 4 x 12
  • Seated hamstring curl 4 x 12
  • Leg press with feet placed wide 4 x 15
  • Bulgarian split squats 3 x 15 each leg

Much needed deload this week to refocus mentally and then hit it hard to wrap up this meet prep.  I can’t believe how fast this prep has gone.
