RD2014-Pull

Dan Dalenberg

Dan is a veteran PRS team member and long time 10/20/Life lifter will be lifting multi-ply during the Saturday pro session at the Arnold XPC. While Dan has an extensive competitive background, this will be his second multi-ply meet. He will be looking to build on a 2255 total at 242. With the amount of learning he has done around multi-ply technique in the past year, he is in a good position to post a big PR total.

Derek Wilcox

Derek is a former all time world record holding powerlifter who will be competing in the pro session Saturday in the multi-ply division. He is a full time nutrition and training consultant for Renaissance Periodization, husband to his wife Emily, as well as a full-time Ph.D. student at East Tennessee State University. With two full-time responsibilities he has been struggling with recovery and being able to train but is still pushing toward breaking another all-time world record.  Derek’s previous best are a 1,040lb squat, 560lb bench press and 725lb deadlift.  He is hoping to squat 1,100+lbs bench press 600lbs and deadlift 750lbs.  He has been talking about the possibility of retirement soon after this competition due to joint damage from a genetic joint problem and the stresses of squatting 5x his body weight for most a decade.

Lisa Guggisberg-22

Lisa Guggisberg

Lisa is a raw and multi-ply lifter that has been coached and mentored by Brian Carroll for almost three years. The XPC will be her third multi-ply meet and second Pro XPC.  She is currently ranked #1 in the 123lb multi-ply division with an 1118 total as well as currently ranked #4 raw with wraps at 114lbs with a 903 total.

Lisa recently switched to multi-ply under the guidance and help of the veteran lifters at Team Samson and looking dialed for a big total in 114lb weight class.

As a renaissance man, he is busy restoring a 140 year-old farmhouse and running a farm. Despite all this, Zane still finds time to train 2-3 times per week, as well as coach other lifters.
